WHAT TO DO BEFORE YOU MOVE TO YOUR TEMPORARY APARTMENT

We have compiled a list of suggestions to consider before making your move. Since your accommodations will be completely equipped and furnished, these items might help in the transition.

  • Are you planning to stay a minimum of 30 days?

  • Ascertain the actual area in which you want to live. Many cities are so large that you really need to know the commuting distance and time before making a commitment to an apartment.

  • If you have school-age children, check out the school systems before choosing a locality. The most comfortable move is one made with all information in advance.

  • Health laws in some states do not allow for more than two adults or children in a bedroom. The age of the children might make a difference. Be sure to discuss this with your Relocations Specialist when determining how many bedrooms are needed.

  • Discuss, in advance, what items you might want to add to your furnishings. Some must be ordered in advance, such as Cribs and Office items.

  • Housekeeping services are an extra fee and can be order weekly or every other week. Your choice will determine the cost.

  • Discuss parking for the number of cars you wish to park. Every complex is different and has different arrangements.

  • If your move is based on your company's requirement, be sure to find out if any of the cost will be repaid or if your Employer will pay the cost directly.

  • Be sure that your Relocations Specialist knows about your pet. There could be some complexes that will not accept pets. You will be asked a few questions about your pet to ensure that they are welcome and accepted.
